The Dewey Bulldoggers shot the lights out in a rivalry game victory on the road at Nowata, 86-74.

The Doggers knocked down 18 three pointers in the game including eight in an impressive third quarter. Dewey led at halftime 43-36 and came out heaving shots from beyond the arc and they couldn’t miss. Senior’s Caston Frye and Kameron Hayes each buried six in the game.

This three-pointer from Blayz Rippy helped get the onslaught started.

Frye led the Doggers in scoring for the fourth consecutive game with 23 points. Hayes added 20 points of his own. The 86 points from Dewey is the most it has scored all season.

The Ironmen trailed by as many as 30 points in the game but Zach Brock sparked a late comeback that brought the Ironmen within single digits in the final minutes. Brock had 13 points in the final quarter. With the loss the fifteenth-ranked Ironmen see their nine-game winning streak go by the wayside

Hayden Thornton would seal the game at the free throw line late as he hit seven free throws on his way to 16 points. With the win the Doggers advance to 14-3 on the year and get the sweep over their cross-county rivals for the season.
