Doggers Down to Last Life in Playoffs

The Dewey Bulldoggers are down to their last life in the 2019-2020 basketball season. The Doggers advanced to the 3A Regionals despite a 60-40 loss to Beggs in Districts on Saturday night. Dewey will face Kansas High School on Thursday in an elimination game.

Dewey has a senior core that has logged hundreds of minutes over the last three years. However, underclassmen Kaleb Hull and Jake LaSpisa have been bright spots over the second half of the season. Regardless of how the playoffs shake out Dewey head coach Lance Knight is optimistic about the future.

To stay alive the Doggers will need to get past an 8-18 Kansas team in the consolation bracket. Dewey is 4-19 on the season with just one win in its last ten games. The game will be played at Beggs High School on Thursday at 3 p.m.
