Dewey T&F Impresses at Regional Meet

The Dewey Track & Field team put together an impressive performance at the 3A regional meet in Catoosa over the weekend.

The boy’s team finished fifth in the meet with an overall score of 60, while the girl’s team fared slightly better at fourth overall with 68 points.

Individually Karissa Jones impressed yet again claiming first place in the 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles and long jump. Erika Dillon took third in long jump and 100 meter hurdles. Hayley DeVivo took second in discus.

On the boy’s side Faylon Kight posted the fastest times in 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles. The 4x400 meter relay team of Kight, Colby Rogers, Blayz Rippy and Colby Henley placed second.

The 3A state meet will take place May 4 & 5 at Moore High School. In total seveb Bulldogger athletes qualified.
