The Dewey Bulldoggers are set to play their first of five games in a 15 day stretch on Friday as they travel to Rejoice Christian for a critical district game. The Eagles are a former Class A power that has moved up to 2A this season and struggled with a 2-4 record so far.

Rejoice isn’t a team to be taken lightly. Despite back-to-back losses the Eagles have scored 84 points between their last two games. Dewey head coach Trent Turner gives a scouting report.

Due to the unique nature of Dewey’s schedule to end the year Turner said that Wednesday was likely the last contact practice of the year. The Doggers will run walk through practices the rest of the way to avoid injuries and allow players to rest and recover. Dewey senior receiver and defensive back Fisher Goode says health and focus will be key.

The quarterback battle will be one of the best in 2A. Chance Wilson for RC has 25 total touchdowns on the year. Tate Lewis has six TD passes but has only played 3.5 games so far. Backup Quarterback’s Trent Muninger and Bryce Sickler have also added six total touchdowns.

Listen to Bulldoggers and the Eagles live from Owasso on KRIG 104.9 FM, Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
