The Dewey Track and Field program has always had a reputation for producing great hurdlers and this year is no exception. Senior’s Karissa Jones and Faylon Kight both already have state titles under their belts and are looking for more in 2018.

Jones posted a time of 15.99 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles in a home meet last month. Kight excelled in the 300 meter hurdles posted the meet’s fastest time at 41.7 seconds. Dewey track coach Dan Close says he tried to challenge his team this season.

The Doggers will be competing at Bristow on Thursday. After that three meets remain before regional meets will be held in late May.
