Dewey Football Falls In Opener

After a promising start the Dewey Bulldoggers couldn't get anything going offensively in the opening game against Adair. The Bulldoggers would fall to Adair 26-7 in front of a sizable crowd at Dogger Stadium on Friday night.

Head coach Tyler Caid rolled the dice with an onside kick to start the game and it was recovered by Dewey. Two plays later quarterback Blake Timmons galloped in to the endzone on a 44-yard read option keeper to give Dewey the early lead at 7-0. Unfortunately that was all the Bulldoggers could muster on offense all night long.

Adair would respond with an 82-yard touchdown pass from Austin Hines to Barret Bradbury to make it 7-6. Then Hines would give Adair the lead with a one-yard sneak in to the endzone. The Warriors would go on to add two more touchdowns in the second half.

At 0-1 Dewey will now begin preparing for its rivalry game with Nowata (0-1) on Friday night.
