The Dewey Bulldoggers took on Tulsa Webster Friday night in both team's first district game of the season.  The Warriors spoiled Dewey's Homecoming with a 21-19 win.  Webster got on the board first on a TyRhan Short 16-yard run in the second quarter to take a 6-0 lead.  The Warriors led 14-0 in the 3rd quarter when Dewey finally got on the scoreboard with a 35 run by Hunter Brewer.

After a three and out by Webster, the Doggers scored on their next drive, thanks to Brewer's 30 yard run.

The point after was no good and Dewey trailed 14-13.  The Doggers took the lead early in the 4th quarter when once again Brewer scored on a 16 yard run.

Dewey led 19-14 when on the next Webster drive, TyRhan Short scored on a three yard run to give the Warriors a 21-19 lead.  Dewey had 91 yards to go to take the lead, but quarterback Blake Timmons threw an interception that sealed the deal for Webster as they escaped with a victory.  Brewer had an outstanding evening as he had 33 carries for 232 yards and three touchdowns.

Dewey falls to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in District play while Webster goes to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in District play.  The Doggers will host Locust Grove in a non-district contest next Friday night.
