Cougars Looking to Secure Playoff Bid

The Oklahoma Union football team is preparing a stretch run of the season that will decide its playoff fate. Each of the Cougars next three opponents have at least five wins on the season. The run starts with homecoming game with Quapaw on Friday.

OKU currently sits at 3-1 in district and needs to win just one more game to clinch a playoff spot for the fourth consecutive season. The Cougars had the benefit of playing some lighter district opponents before losing to district-favorite Pawhuska 44-0 last week. Head coach Stephen Trammell talks about the big games ahead for his team.

Prior to the Pawhuska game the Cougars defense had given up just four touchdowns all season long. OKU will be challenged to stop a very athletic Quapaw offense. This game was not played last season due to COVID-19.

Kickoff from Lenapah is slated for 7 p.m.
