Copan Loses - WCS Wins in Playoffs

Class A and B schools began high school basketball playoffs over the weekend, with mixed results across Washington County.

Both Copan clubs lost in the first round, while both Wesleyan Christian School teams will move on to the Regional round undefeated.

Both the Copan girls and boys lost to Oklahoma Bible in Class A Districts. The Lady Hornets fell, 64-39. The Copan guys lost, 76-63. The Hornet guys end their season at 9-15. The Lady Hornets end up 10-13.

Things went better for Wesleyan Christian, the Mustang guys topped Shidler, 55-25 on Saturday. The WCS girls beat Shidler 44-33. Both those teams will advance to the Class B Regional with still two losses to give starting this weekend.

All the 2A-4A schools we cover across the area will begin their district play this weekend. We will have more on all those schools and their upcoming playoff matchups throughout the week.
