Copan Football's Injuries Mount

Eight man football is hard enough when you only have 13 or 14 guys.

It can become even more difficult when numbers dwindle even lower. That is the situation Copan finds itself in going into the Hornet's second district game of the season.

Copan may be down to nine players after two season-ending injuries to separate players this past week during a loss to Pond Creek-Hunter. The Hornet's fell to 0-4 after the 52-14 loss.

There are some positives.

Pond Creek-Hunter had previously shut out all of its opponents, which means Copan scored the first points against PCH all season. The Hornet's take on Covington-Douglas (1-3) this Friday and hope to keep a bit of that momentum alive.

You can hear a full breakdown of the Hornet's loss this past week and a preview of this week's game on our Coach's Corner Page
