Copan Fights Through Tough Schedule

The grind against bigger schools continues for the Copan basketball program on Thursday night.

The Hornet boys gave 2A Caney Valley a run for their money on Tuesday, with that game being tied late in the contest, but the Trojans pulled away in the end to win 61-35.

The game against Oklahoma Union now marks the second 2A team that Copan, a Class B school, will play this week.

Year in year out Copan plays a schedule much tougher than most Class B teams because of its location in the state. Hornet head coach Kevin Foreman.

Copan is 1-1. Oklahoma Union is 2-0, the Cougars are ranked at No. 14 in the state in 2A. They also own a 68-44 win over Afton.
