Central Baptist Eliminates Lady Eagles
The quest of claiming the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference softball title fell short for Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles as Central Baptist took revenge of Thursday afternoon loss, came back Friday afternoon and won 4-0.
Central Baptist scored two of their four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and allowed just two hits.Selena Lopez and Dakota Bottoms were the only OKWU players to get a hit each. Jenna Daniel took the loss on the mound to fall to 15-12 on the year. In over five innings of work, Daniel gave up four runs on eight hits and struck out six Central Baptist batters.
With the loss, the Lady Eagles are 29-24 this season.
