Caney Valley Tournament Returns With Several Radio Games

The 28th Annual Caney Valley Tournament is set to begin Thursday with a great slate of games. The tournament returns after being canceled due to COVID-19 last season.

This year’s tournament will take a Thursday-Friday-Saturday format instead of the weeklong format of year’s past. This will more closely resemble the postseason and prepare teams for playoff basketball. Caney Valley boy’s head coach Tug Brinker talks about this year’s tournament.

Barnsdall, Copan, Liberty and the host-team Trojans continue their long-running tournament attendance. New teams add a nice shake up to the field as Riverfield Day School (Tulsa), Oklahoma Bible Academy (Enid), Caney (KS) and Dewey enter the field. Dewey head coach Lance Knight is hoping the Doggers can take their first ever CVT title.
