After a brief quarantine period the Caney Valley boys’ basketball team is back to the practice floor. It has been a positive start for the Trojans who are off to a 5-1 record through the first chunk of the season.

The Trojans missed just one scheduled game due to COVID-19 related issues. Head coach Tug Brinker says he hopes the team will be able to get back in shape by the time games start back up.

Conditioning will be a big piece for the Trojans especially because the transition game has led to improved scoring. Caney Valley is currently averaging 62 points per game. The only loss for the Trojans came against Hominy in the only game they failed to score 50 points.

Caney Valley will start off the New Year with a tournament in Chelsea on January 7.
