Bulldoggers Play Annual Spring Game

The Dewey Bulldoggers wrapped up spring practice with the annual Red-White Spring Game on Thursday. The Red Team defeated the White Team 18-12 in the scrimmage.

The running game was on full display as the Bulldoggers look for a new tailback. Zane Lorenz and Cale Karner each found the endzone two times a piece. Carner added on the game-winning touchdown pass as he rolled out of the pocket and found Trey Glover in the back of the endzone.

Carner will likely serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind senior Chase Revard.

While the results on the field don’t have much meaning, Doggers head coach Tyler Caid was very pleased with the spring.

Dewey will participate in a team camp at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on June 7 and 8. The Doggers will also host several passing leagues throughout  June as well.

We’ll have more on the Doggers and other area teams in spring practices as the month moves on.
