Bartlesville High sent both its teams into the postseason on high notes with blowout wins over Sapulpa on Tuesday night. The Lady Chieftains and Chieftains rested some of their starters to prepare for regionals later on this week, making for an easy BHS sweep.

On the girl’s side, Jena’ Williams wrapped up her final game at Bruin Fieldhouse in spectacular fashion. She had 20 points en route to a 54-34 Lady Bruin victory. Williams got on the board early and often with six first quarter points, including this and-one on a nice left handed shot.

The victory for the Bartlesville girls (17-6) ends a two-game losing skid and gives them some more momentum going into the regionals this weekend.

On the guy’s side it was even more one-sided. Bartlesville put the Chieftains away early, winning 80-39. The Bruins led by 23-points at halftime and the contest was never in doubt. Bruin seniors accounted for 65 of the season-high 80-points on the evening. Dax Butler was a big part of the offense. He scored a career high nine points in his final game at home. He got going early with this three-pointer.

Jaylin Oliver finished with 27 while Tayo Dina had 18. The Bruin guys (11-12) have their second-highest win total in the last five years with the win.

Both Bartlesville teams are off until this weekend when Regionals begin. The Lady Bruins will face Broken Arrow at 6:30 PM on Thursday at Union, while the Bruin guys will take on Owasso at 6:30 PM on Friday at Sapulpa.
