There is uncertainty abound for fall football at all levels across the country, as of now, the state of Oklahoma is moving ahead with its plans for the gridiron.

At Bartlesville High, the time seems right for a Bruin resurgence. Stability has come just in time for BHS, as head coach Jason Sport enters his second season this fall. In 2020, Sport will be the first coach to finish out two-consecutive seasons with the program since John McKee did it in 2015 and 2016. Sport has ridden a wave of optimism about Bartlesville football since the hiring of Lee Blankenship before the 2018 season.Sport says timing is everything.

Bartlesville loses its quarterback and running back from last season, but not a lot else. Sport says a large and talented senior class has helped the program through this peculiar offseason. Numbers have stayed strong, with nearly 100 players consistently showing up for summer workouts.

Practice for BHS begins on Aug. 10, with the Bruins opener at home against Claremore on Sept. 4. We have a printable and downloadable Bartlesville football schedule available on our Scores and Schedules page under the sports tab at BartlesvilleRadio.com.
