At Bartlesville High, the Bruin football team has been working out since the middle of June without any issues.

The Bruins moved on to Phase 2 of their reopening plan a couple of weeks ago, which has included some more on the field instruction. Practice will not begin until August 10.

Bartlesville head football coach Jason Sport has been pleased with the way that the offseason program has gone – Sport talks about his guys this summer.

Bartlesville has been in the same spot as everyone else this summer, waiting, watching and hoping to have football this fall.

Sport says he and the team has been aware of the possibility that the season could be affected by COVID-19, and he tries to deal with any information he gets one day at a time.

Bartlesville will have a strong core of seniors returning this fall, although BHS does lose its quarterback and running back to graduation from a year ago.

More on Bruin football later on this preseason.
