Shawnee took game one, but the Bruins will try for game two on Tuesday night.

Bartlesville High came up just short on the road at Shawnee on Monday afternoon in game one of a two-game district series with the Wolves. Shawnee nipped the Bruins 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Wolves got a one-out double in the tenth inning and won the game on a walk off single. The win gives Shawnee a one-game lead over Bartlesville in the 6A District 4 standings. BHS led 3-1 into the sixth when the Wolves would tie it to force extras. 10 frames is the most played by Bartlesville this year.

Despite the loss last night, BHS has been playing better over the past two weeks. The schedule has been a bit more favorable, but the worm has started to turn a bit on the Bruins season. Here is Bartlesville head coach Spence Rigdon.

Bartlesville will try to return the favor on Tuesday, as Shawnee comes to Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium for game two. First pitch at 7:00 PM.

KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3 will carry the game - with pregame beginning at 6:50.
