Bruins Face Tough Task at Broken Arrow

It's January, and the grind of the Frontier Valley Conference is just about to begin for both the Bartlesville High basketball teams.

It is the first regular season Frontier Valley double-header in three weeks for the Lady Bruins and Bruins on Tuesday, as they travel to Broken Arrow.

Both teams have already played three games in the Broken Arrow gym during the BA Invitational earlier this season, but neither club has faced Broken Arrow High school. The Lady Bruins will be favorites to pick up their 10th win in a row to begin 2018. Bartlesville is 9-0 ranked at No. 2 in the state, while the Lady Tigers are 2-7. They are riding a three-game losing streak.

The Bruin boys will have their hands full against BA. The Tigers are the No. 1 ranked team in all of Oklahoma. Broken Arrow is 8-1. It has not lost to a team in the OSSAA yet this season.

The Bartlesville boys are 4-5, coming off a second-place finish in their own ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational this past weekend. 6:30 tip for the girls, with the boys to follow around 8:00 PM on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

We will also be operating inside the Broken Arrow Gym on 91.1 FM - on our portable FM transmitter for fans traveling to BA for the game.

Always streaming online at BartlesvilleRadio.com and to your mobile device on the Bartlesville Radio App.
