Bruins Face Bixby in 1st District Showdown

Bartlesville High will probably have its toughest game of the season on Friday evening, as the defending 6A-II state champion Bixby Spartans visit Custer Stadium.

Bixby enters the game on a 39-game win streak. The Spartans have not lost since Aug. 24, 2018 – 1,127 days ago. Bartlesville is in the middle of the toughest stretch of its schedule after playing 5A No.1 last week, Bixby tonight and Booker T. next week.

Head coach Jason Sport says this is as hard as its going to get this year.

The matchup provides BHS with an opportunity to measure itself against the best in the district, and the state, right out of the shoot. It is also an opportunity to turn some heads if Bartlesville could compete in the contest this evening.

Sport says the plan is to try to do something special.

Bartlesville is 1-2 on the year, Bixby is 3-0.

Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 with a 7:00 kick Friday night from Custer Stadium, a game we will have for you on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and FM 95.1.

You can watch the game on KWONTV.com, as well.
