Bruin Wrestling Humming into 2019

Bartlesville High wrestling is scheduled to get back after it with a meet at Jenks starting on Friday afternoon and running through the weekend.

It has already been a heck of a season for the Bruins under Josh Pulsifer. Bartlesville returns four wrestlers that qualified for state this past season in Laif Jones, who was a 6A state champion at 126 pounds in 2018. Corwin Strachan, David Boucher and Brayden Strachan all return for a season that very well could be the best in Bruin wrestling history. Pulsifer talks about a few of the standouts in the bottom weight classes for BHS.

Jones has probably been the most impressive. He is undefeated, aside from an injury default he suffered during a regional tournament in Enid last month.

Jones is one of the best wrestlers in the state and has helped the resurgence of the Bruin wrestling program, which has wrestlers at every weight class this season, and sports a deep roster going into the final couple of months of the season.
