Bruin Wrestlers Work Over Break

Bartlesville High wrestling has been working into the Winter Break, which is a little bit of a change from years ago. BHS wrestlers have been outworking teams in years past by showing up to workouts throughout their Christmas holiday the past couple weeks.

Josh Pulsifer is into seventh season as head coach of the Bruin wrestling program, and he says there used to not be so many guys willing to work during an off-period.

Bartlesville is off to a 3-2 record in dual play thus far. The Bruins only losses have been to Shawnee Heights and Glenpool. BHS has beaten Claremore, Vinita, and Shawnee over the course of the first few weeks of the season. Pulsifer gives us an update on how he sees the season as a whole thus far.

Bartlesville returns three state qualifiers from a year ago, and Pulsifer thinks all three will have a chance to place at state this season.

BHS comes out of winter break with a dual against Jenks on Thursday of next week, and then goes to a tournament hosted by Jenks that same weekend.
