The Bruin boys golf team teed off for the 6A Regional at Ponca City on Monday.

Bartlesville will have five guys competing to make the state tournament at Karsten Creek in Stillwater the following week.

BHS has been playing better golf as of late, with Matt Russell, Nathan Le and Nate Hansen all shooting near or below 80 in recent tournaments.

Bartlesville head coach Jeff Rude says shooting two rounds of 80 at the regionals will get a golfer in position to make the state tourney.

The BHS girl's golf team will be in its State Tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The Lady Bruins qualified for the tournament as a team after finishing in a tie for sixth at regionals.
