Bruin Football Team Camp Wraps Up

Bartlesville High football is in the middle of its team camp in Owasso this, as BHS began action against other clubs for the first time this offseason.

The camp is two days long at Rejoice Christian High School. After a successful spring practice session that began more three weeks ago, head coach Jason Sport says his team is ready for the next step in the offseason.

Bartlesville will be taking so many players to the camp that BHS will actually split into two different teams for the drills. As we reported on earlier in the spring, the Bruins had somewhere in the range of 85 guys solidly committed to playing football this fall, numbers that are much higher than other schools similarly sized.

Sport said that Rejoice Christian has two turf fields back-to-back, which allows for even more work than most camps across the state. Bartlesville is co-hosting the camp and helped put it together even though it is being hosted down south.

The Bruins will get to regular summer activities once team camp is over, such as lifting, conditioning and their 7-on-7 passing league in Sand Springs.
