Bruin Football Just Around The Corner
Final two weeks of the preseason, as practices for most high school football teams will begin on August 8 in Oklahoma.
At Bartlesville High, the Bruins will continue with their summer workouts right up until the first practice.
BHS wrapped up its Night of Champions this past Friday evening. The night was designed to see how far many of the players have come since the start of summer workouts.
Head coach Harry Wright says only four guys could power clean 225 when he took the job, with about eight guys up to the task after the spring. - On Friday, 21 of them accomplished the goal.
Wright talks about what the event meant for the program.
Not only will the evening serve as a motivator for guys currently in the program, but Wright says he thinks it will help future Bruins, as well.
Wright talks about the middle-school Bruins who watched this past Friday.
Bartlesville will return the vast majority of its starters off of a young team that went 2-8 a year ago.
