Bartlesville High head football coach Jason Sport has finished up his hiring of varsity staff for the fall of 2019.

Sport made the announcement publicly on Tuesday evening that he has tapped Anderson Hurd as the team’s new offensive line coach.

After the departure of former offensive coordinator and o-line coach Cody McDaniel this offseason, Sport promoted associate head coach and quarterbacks coach Jason Munoz to offensive coordinator, but needed still needed someone to man the offensive line.

This is Hurd’s ninth year of coaching, he has spent the past two seasons in Class 6A in Arkansas, as the o-line coach at West Memphis High School.

His offenses gained nearly 4,000 yards a season over his two years. This is Hurd's first season coaching in Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe and has a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He will guide a Bruin offensive line that has some experience coming back, despite losing a couple starters. Sport talks about the BHS big guys up front.

Bartlesville is getting set to wrap up its second week of spring practice over the next couple days.

Team camp will be next in Owasso after Memorial Day.
