Bruin Basketball Set for 2021

Bartlesville High basketball is back after it on Tuesday, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins will have their second road Frontier Valley Conference double-header of the season.

Bartlesville is at Sapulpa to open up 2021.

It has been 25 days since the last time the varsity basketball teams played a game. The usual long layoff for the Christmas holiday was extended by a week because of a two-week shutdown of Bartlesville Public School’s extracurricular activities.

Both basketball teams have been practicing since just after Christmas, and Bruin head coach Clent Stewart says when it’s all said and done, the shutdown didn’t effect things as much as you might think.

Both BHS clubs will have their hands full with Sapulpa. The Lady Chieftains are 4-1, while the Sapulpa guys are 3-3. Both Bartlesville teams enter at under .500, the Lady Bruins are 1-4, with the Bruin guys 2-3.

This is a tune up before both clubs will play three games over three days in the ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Stewart talks about Sapulpa.

Girls tip at 6:30 with the boys to follow around 8:00. We will have both those games for you on Tuesday night on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

You can also watch on KWONTV.com, pregame begins at 6:00.
