Bruin Basketball Hosts Tournament
Bartlesville High basketball set to begin an annual tradition at Bruin Field House on Thursday – as BHS will host the ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational.
For the second straight year, this will be a boy’s and girl’s event, as there will be eight games each day on campus.
Thursday's events start bright and early at 10:00, with the first girl’s games.
Bartlesville will play in the night caps, the Lady Bruins face Southmoore and the Bruin guys go up against Hirschi High School out of Wichita Falls, Texas.
The Bartlesville girls will be favored, Southmoore (0-7) is winless on the year. Hirschi (13-7) is a bit of an unknown, being a private magnet school from outside the state.
The Bruin guys are coming off an 18-point loss to Broken Arrow on Tuesday. BHS head coach Clent Stewart says the effort is there, and the wins will come if his club keeps playing with the same tenacity.
The Lady Bruins are scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM with the boys around 8:30 PM. We will have both those games on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 with pregame coming at 6:30. You can also listen online at BartlesvilleRadio.com and the Bartlesville Radio App.
All games this weekend will be available to watch on KWONTV.com as well.
