Bartlesville High baseball won its first game in Pensacola, Florida on Monday evening during the Bruins annual spring break trip.

It is the second victory in a row for BHS. Bartlesville topped Coosa Valley Academy 8-1.

Noah Yearout was tremendous on the mound. Yearout went the full seven innings, he struck out eight and walked only one. He gave up just one run on three hits.

Bartlesville shined at the plate in the later innings, scoring four in the third and three in the fourth. Bruin head coach Spence Rigdon says he thinks his team has the ability to string some hits together.

John Cone led Bartlesville at the plate, he went 3-3 with three runs scored and a walk.

Bartlesville improves to 3-4 on the season with the win.

The Bruins will next take on Tate High School on Tuesday at 7:00 PM for game No. 2 in the Sunshine State.
