Bruin Baseball Wins 7th Straight

Make it seven in a row for the baseball Bruins, as Bartlesville has matched its longest win streak in four years after a stark turnaround from earlier this season.

BHS has gone from 1-7 to 8-7 in the matter of two weeks, and Bartlesville is back above .500 thanks to another good performance in round one of its own Bruin Classic on Thursday night.

BHS topped Park Hill South 8-5. It was four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning that ended up being the difference. Trailing 5-4, Bartlesville would get the lead back on a two-RBI single from Noah Yearout and the Bruins would never look back.

Bartlesville would tack on two more unearned runs on a Panther error, and the Bruins would be nails on the mound from there on out.

Harald Borg settled in and pitched six solid innings, giving up nine hits, only two of his five runs surrendered were earned. Yearout came in to earn the save in the top of the seventh, his second of the season. The last six batters Yearout has retired have been via the strikeout, dating back to Monday.

BHS will now play three more games over the next two days at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium for the Bruin Classic. Bartlesville will take on Willard, Missouri at 2:00 PM, followed by an 8:00 PM game against Bentonville, Arkansas on Friday - weather pending.

Bartlesville Baseball Radio Broadcast Schedule

No radio for Bartlesville the rest of the weekend, KWON will rejoin the Bruins on Monday in a district series with Bixby.
