Bruin Baseball Tries for Win No. 7

Bartlesville High baseball is back after it again on Thursday, as the Bruins will try to win their seventh game in a row.

BHS begins the Bruin Classic, a three-day event that has teams traveling from all over the Midwest to Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

Bartlesville opens up the tournament with a game against Park Hill South this evening. A win tonight would give the Bruins their longest win streak since the 2015 season. After a 1-7 start Bartlesville (7-7, 2-4) has battled back to .500 on the year. BHS did not panic after the tough start. First-year head coach Austin Jarvis talks about how his club turned their season around.

Bartlesville just swept Union in a two-game district series on Monday and Tuesday, with tremendous pitching outings from both Jakob Hall and Dakota Ward. BHS will work out some of its other starters and pitchers this week, as Bartlesville prepares for its next district series against Bixby early next week. Jarvis talks about what he expects out of his team over the next three days.

Harald Borg is the probable starter for the game pm Thursday. First pitch at 5:30 PM, we will have that game on the radio after the 5:00 news on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
