Bruin Baseball Regional Assignment

The Bartlesville baseball team has its assignment, and the Bruins are off to the 6A Regionals.

BHS heads to Jenks to take on the host Trojans in the first round at noon on Thursday. The tournament is four-team, double elimination. The winner moves on to the state tournament in the Oklahoma City metro area the following week.

The Bruins are 6-4 in their last 10. Bartlesville lost two straight games to Bixby and Sand Springs to end the regular season on Thursday and Saturday. BHS (11-21) is still without its leadoff man, and starting outfielder Easton Hammonds who was injured in April. He may or may not play in the regional. 

Union and Ponca City are the other two teams opposite the Bruins and Trojans in the regional. Jenks is 24-8, but the Trojans have lost games to Bixby, Enid and Union this year.

Thursday afternoon’s game can be heard on Sports Talk 1500 AM – KPGM.

The subsequent evening games will be broadcasted on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
