The Bartlesville Area Amateur Baseball tournament came to a close Wednesday evening as Boom Mobile beat United Linen 6-5 to win the 2016 City Championship.

United Linen earlier in the day eliminated Safari Smiles 17-6 to advance to the championship game.  This was the second time these two teams met in the tournament.

The championship game went back and forth as it came to a pitchers duel.  Boom Mobile broke a four all tie in the bottom of the sixth inning when John David Summers drove in two runs after he hit a double.

United Linen had the chance in the top of the seventh.  With one out, Jacob Hall hit a triple and the following batter Bobby Glenn hit a triple that brought home Hall.

Boom Mobile's reliever Harold Borg struck out two batters to end the game and picked up the save. Summers was the winning pitcher and he struck out nine batters while United Linen's Ridik Martin took the loss. Martin struck out seven batters.

Despite having six errors, Boom Mobile survived and finished the tournament unbeaten.   United Linen out hit Boom Mobile 7-4.
