Big Weekend for College Football Upcoming

Oklahoma State football had an interesting season-opener against Tulsa on Saturday from Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

TU pushed the Pokes to the brink, with OK-State eventually pulling away in the fourth quarter for a 16-7 victory. The Cowboys got a good performance from their defense, but the Pokes offense was sluggish following quarterback Spencer Sanders’ injury in their first offensive drive of the game.

True freshman quarterback Shane Illingworth was the hero, his appearance at the QB spot seemed to jumpstart the Cowboy offense late in the contest.

Illingworth entered the game after several stalled drives from JUCO transfer Ethan Bullock.

Oklahoma State will host West Virginia in its next scheduled game on Saturday at 2:30. We will have that broadcast on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

OU is also slated to be back in action on Saturday morning, hosting K-State at 11:00. The broadcast will air on 100.1 - KYFM.

TU, at 0-1, will next face Arkansas State on the road, a 2:30 kick, also this coming Saturday on KRIG 104.9 FM.
