BHS Softball Wins/ Volleyball Loses to Begin Season
Many different high school sports began on Tuesday in the area.
Lets start with softball, where Bartlesville High swept Enid in a double-header on the western half of the state. The Lady Bruins beat the Pacers 8-3 and 9-8. Bartlesville starts the season 2-0.
BHS will next play Barnsdall at home on Friday.
Other scores in the area on the softball diamond: Barnsdall fell to Skiatook 2-1. Welch topped Copan 20-0. And Hominy beat South Coffeyville 11-5
A few results from high school volleybal, Bartlesville High opened up its season with a loss to Sand Springs on Tuesday evening. The Lady Sandites beat BHS in three-straight sets, 25-20, 25-20 and 25-11.
So the Lady Bruins are 0-1 – they will next host Bishop Kelley this coming Tuesday.
Other results, Oklahoma Union beat Dewey in three-straight sets, the Lady Doggers are 0-2 to begin the year.
No high school games on Wednesday – schedules resume on Thursday.
