BHS Softball Returns to Practice

We are into our second day of high school sports practices, as volleyball, cross country and softball teams all across the state got into action on Wednesday evening.

At Bartlesville High, Kyle Minton is into his second season as head softball coach.

Many Lady Bruins who will be key this fall are still playing with their summer squad, so Bartlesville is not at full strength just yet.

Minton says early this week practice will focus on getting used to the softball facilities new turf and to the summer’s heat.

Bartlesville will have the bulk of its varsity players from last year back again. BHS was young a season ago, and Minton says having the extra experience should pay dividends this fall.

Minton goes over two notable Lady Bruin returners.

Bartlesville does not have a scrimmage for a couple of weeks. BHS will open up the season on August 11.

More on Lady Bruin softball and with other fall sports across the area as practices roll on.
