BHS Girls One Win From State

The Bartlesville High girls’ basketball team is one win away from making the 6A state tournament.

BHS blasted Owasso Thursday evening at Will Rogers High School, 53-to-36.

The Lady Bruins will face Booker T. Washington Saturday at 1:30 PM for a chance to make State

Bartlesville jumped out to an early eight-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back. BHS led by 16 at halftime and by as many as 24 in the second half. This three-pointer from Lauren Richter gave Bartlesville its biggest lead of the game.

The win for BHS is its third over Owasso in four tries this season. Richter led BHS with 13 points.

The Lady Bruins will face off against Booker T. after the Lady Hornets fell to Sand Springs, 56-44 in the winner’s bracket game also on Thursday. The Lady Sandites had led by about 20 throughout that game until a late Booker T. comeback.
