Several eyes were on Pawhuska football all season long—specifically their quarterback Bryce Drummond. The Future Division I slinger is the subject of Thursday’s year in review piece.

On April 17, Drummond announced on twitter that he was committed to the University of North Texas. Huskies head coach Matt Hennesy said UNT is a great fit.

Pawhuska QB Mason Fine played a stellar career at North Texas and was a mentor for Drummond over the course of the season. Fine set state records at Locust Grove playing under coach Hennesy during his high school career.

Drummond finished with 159 total touchdowns during his illustrious career at Pawhuska. The Huskies quarterback led the team to the state quarterfinals in 2019 and the state semifinals in 2020.

The Pioneer Woman’s son also had offers from Tulsa and Texas State. He is only quarterback signed in the Mean Green’s 2020 recruiting class.
