The 2019 calendar year was one that was tremendously exciting for Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball. In February the Eagles clinched their first ever Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title. OKWU knocked off rival-Southwestern in a winner-take-all overtime thriller. Jake Feickert scored the game-winning bucket with two seconds left.

The Eagles spent a large portion of the season ranked as the No. 1 team in the NAIA. OKWU would go on to play Southwestern again in the KCAC tournament finals and come up short. The Eagles would then get upset by St. Francis, Illinois as a one seed in the national tournament. Head coach Donnie Bostwick was proud of his team for earning the honor.

Counting an 11-4 start to the current season, OKWU went 26-7 in the calendar year 2019. The Eagles return to action on January at Tabor.
