Bartlesville High School had a couple more sports finish up on Tuesday, as four individuals wrapped up play at state.

Lets start with girl’s tennis, where the Lady Bruins had two reach the podium.

Erika Gruber took fourth at No. 2 singles, while Maddie Shelley placed third at No. 1 singles.

Shelley, just a freshman, lost to the eventual second place finisher in Jenna Noel from Westmoore, before topping Melody Holcomb from Bixby to secure the third-place finish on Tuesday.

Gruber had won her first two matches on Saturday before falling a couple times yesterday, but still making the podium. Both those Lady Bruins will be back next season.

Meanwhile in boy’s golf, the Bruins had a pair of top-30 finishers.

Taton Hopkins led the way with a third round 80. He finished at 232 overall and tied for 25th. Just one shot back was Carson Rainbolt, who finished up with a third-round 78. He had a 233 overall, tying for 29th.

There were 73 golfers at state, which took place at Rose Creek Golf Club in Edmond.
