Bartlesville to Host OCA Swimming

Bartlesville’s own Phillips 66 Aquatic Center will be home to a big time statewide event on Monday.

The Oklahoma Coaches Association All State Swimming competition will take place on Monday evening at 6:30.

Bartlesville gets to host the event in a last-minute change. Jenks Aquatic Center was originally slated to host it.

Not only does BHS get to show off its top-of-the-line swimming facilities, it also gives a last go-round for three special Lady Bruin swimmers that are participating. Greta Olsen, Kate Seward and Emily Giovannetti will all get to swim in their home pool in another competition.

BHS Athletic Director Spence Rigdon talks about the event.

Olsen and Seward are both headed to the University of Kansas to swim this fall. Giovanetti will be going to Drexel to continue her swimming career.

Those three were a part of yet another Bartlesville High girl’s state championship this past winter. BHS won its fourth straight state title back in February in Edmond.

Tickets are $5.

We will have more on Bartlesville hosting the OCA All-State swimming competition on Monday.
