Bartlesville Tennis Hosts Tourney Monday

Bartlesville High did well at the Bixby Invitational this past weekend, both the Lady Bruins and Bruins took sixth out of 12 teams competing.

Number one singles player on the girl’s side, Erin Epperson won again, she went 3-0, winning the invitational title. On the guy’s side, number one singles player Daniel Meszaros took second for the Bruins. Meszaros is putting together a great season against tough competition at number one singles. Here is Bartlesville head tennis coach Jeff Birk.

The best finish outside of those two was number two doubles on the boy’s side, as Evan Wingate and Dax Butler took fourth. That was their first tournament as a doubles team.

Bartlesville High School hosts its own eight-team tournament starting Monday morning.

Matches will be played at Hillcrest Country Club along with Sooner and Johnstone Park, as the tennis facilities at BHS are still undergoing upgrades from the Bond Issue that passed last year.
