Both the Bartlesville boys and girls basketball teams went to Muskogee and lost against two good Rougher clubs on Friday evening.

Both Bartlesville clubs have lost four in a row heading into another busy week next week.

On the girl’s side, BHS really battled, getting down by 16 early but making things close down the stretch.

Bartlesville would fall 43-34.

BHS (2-9) outscored Muskogee 21-14 in the second half, but could never get closer than six in the final minutes.

The Bartlesville guys got punched in the mouth at the beginning, as an early Rougher run carried Muskogee to a 76-53 victory.

The Bruins (3-8) would get down as much as 18 in the first minutes of the game before making several runs at making things interesting. This reverse layup from David Castillo go the lead down to 12 early in the fourth.

Every time Bartlesville made a run, Muskogee would answer. The Roughers would get the lead to 25 soon after. Castillo finished with 19. Nick Smith had a nice night with 13.
