Bartlesville Sports Commission Taking Grant Applications

The Bartlesville Sports Commission will again have an opportunity to provide grants to some area organizations this year.

The Commission is accepting grant applications from the Bartlesville youth sports community.  Youth sports organizations may apply for funds to benefit specific programs or needs by downloading a grant application from the BSC website at www.BartlesvilleSports.net or by contacting Debbie Mueggenborg at Debbie@SAMBcpas.com

The applications are for local youth sports organizations with a special need or project. Muggenborg said the money is not meant to be for general operating funds. This is something the Sports Commission has been able to do in the past, as well. Previously it has helped with improvements to Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium, among other things. Last year when the money came open, Muggenborg went over some of the previous ventures for the grants.

The BSC has been in existence since 2007, and since then, the BSC has granted over $70,000 to Bartlesville High School and other youth athletic activities.

The BSC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and accepts donations, which are tax deductible, to help Bartlesville-area youth.  To become a member of the Bartlesville Sports Commission, email Beth Beard at BartlesvilleSports@gmail.com
