Bartlesville Softball Falls in Regionals

The 2015 Bartlesville softball season came to a close on Tuesday evening, as the Lady Bruins went 0-2 in regional play.

Bartlesville lost to Norman and Enid in back-to-back heartbreakers. BHS fell to Norman 11-7, then lost to Enid in an elimination game 16-12 in eight innings. Bartlesville ends the year at 12-3,.

The two losses for the Lady Bruins in regionals echoes a theme of "close but no cigar" that plagued Bartlesville throughout the year. Craig Hampton's young club was able to play with the best of 6A, but couldn't quite pull things out in the end. Bartlesville led Norman 7-1 before the Tigers came back to bite BHS in the final few innings.

Hampton returns the majority of his core group next year. BHS only had two seniors, Hayley Hines and Taylor Garrett.
