Indians Split Saturday Games At Enid

The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians split a double header Saturday night at Enid winning game one 6-5 and lost 5-4 in the second game.

It was a wild first game as the Indians took advantage early thanks to Enid's seven errors.  Bartlesville led 6-0, scoring a run in the top of the first and five runs in the top of the second.  The Indians like Enid had problems defensively, committing five errors.  Enid came back thanks to those errors, but fell short by one run.  Chase Hayes pitched over five innings of work got the win while Gensen Streets came in relief and picked up his second save of the year.  Hayes gave up five runs on six hits and walked four Enid batters.  At the plate, Derek Hill went 2 for 3 with a RBI while Jacob Ruiz went 2 for 3.  Chase Fiddler and Braden Beasley each got a hit.

The Majors took revenge in the second game, scoring three of their five runs in the bottom of the first inning.  Bartlesville would come back to tie the game at four going in the bottom of the sixth.  Enid scored the winning run in the sixth and held the Indians scoreless in the top of the seventh.  Brady Kokojan took the loss.  In six innings of work, Kokojan gave up five runs on eight hits, walked two, and struck out one.  Kokojan hit a triple while Zac Boyes and Joe Jones each got a hit.

The Indians are 13-9 overall this season.  Both Enid and Bartlesville will conclude the series Sunday at Noon for a seven-inning game.
