Bartlesville Cross Country Teams Win Regionals

The Bartlesville High School Cross Country teams are headed back to 6A-State, with two regional victories on Saturday afternoon.

BHS swept the regionals at Mohawk Park down in Tulsa. The girls beat Jenks, while the boys edged Owasso on their way to regional championships. The BHS cross country teams will be at state this weekend at Edmond Sante Fe High School.

Individually, the Lady Bruins had three of the top six runners. Shay Stayton finished second with a time of 18:25. Rilee Rigdon came in 3rd, and Greta Olsen was 6th. Erin Epperson and Margaret Drummond rounded out the top five for Bartlesville at no. 11 and 19 respectively.

On the guy’s side, Henry Williams and James Martinez were 2nd and 5th. Williams finished with a sub-6 minute time at 15:27. Nathan Lauritsen and Reese Hammon also finished in the top 11.

Congrats to both teams on regional championships, we will have more on Bartlesville Cross Country in the State Meet throughout the week. 

Ayers says they will have a shot to win a state title on both the boys and girl's sides.
