Fall Sports practices began on Wednesday in Oklahoma, as softball, volleyball and cross country have been after it for two or three days now.

Bartlesville cross country was out early on Wednesday getting in their first official run of the summer.

Head coach David Ayers is back again, and talks about what Lady Bruin and Bruin cross country has looked like this past offseason.

Ayers again was complementary of Pathfinder as a major buoy to his program and running in general in Bartlesville.

The last official action for many BHS runners was during the spring season, where Lady Bruin and Bruin track got two meets in before the cancellation of spring sports.

Even though cross country is a sport easily practiced solo, Ayers says getting into a team setting for running this week will likely help many of his athletes.

Bartlesville would usually begin the 2020 season running the Riverside 5K as a team, however that has been canceled in Tulsa.

The club’s first official meet will not be until the end of August.
