Barnsdall is back playing on Friday after a late change.

The Panthers game against Langston Hughes was moved to Thursday earlier this week but it is now back to tis regularly schedueld friday date. In fact, it has changed locations again. Barnsdall will travel to Booker T. Washington High School to take on Langston Hughes, as that football program has to scramble to grab a field to play each week.

The Panthers are in a precarious situation. A clear favorite to make the playoffs, Barnsdall has now lost two games in a row, including a loss to its Osage County rival in Pawhuska last week.

Panther head coach Kylee Sweeney credited Pawhuska with a good game plan, but also said many of his team’s wounds were self-inflicted. Despite the 1-2 start in district play, there is still a lot of football to be played.
